Daffodils

Daffodils enjoy a unique level of affection for many of us. The sight of these flowers in many areas of the UK lets us know spring is definitely on the way, a welcome relief after the long winter months.

The daffodil is a pleasing image for anyone, with yellows, whites and golden tones creating the warmth of gentle sunshine, even if you can’t see the sun! Including daffodils within a floral display such as a bouquet is something that really does please virtually anyone.

Of course immortalised forever by Wordsworth, the daffodil is among the more widely known but still extremely well loved flower varieties. If you’re combining blossoms into a striking display, daffodils are a great way to provide lighter colours, especially effective when used with contrasting darker colours such as purple.

Daffodils can really be used successfully for any happy occasion on which you’re sending someone flowers. From birthdays to anniversaries, and simple well wishes, the daffodil is always a welcome addition to an environment. Also ideal for sending get well wishes, daffodils are lovely flowers to help cheer someone up, especially where illness has been involved.

As with all flower displays, daffodils need not be arranged by their recipient, but can be packaged into a stylish vase or box ready for display. The cheer seeing daffodils’ growing outdoors gives most of us, means they are a fantastic element to have within an indoor context such as the home or office, which is why so many people love including them within floral gifts.
