Choosing funeral flowers can of course be a difficult task. Whether you’re choosing flowers for the casket or perhaps for a standing display as part of the funeral or cremation service, you will see a wide range of choices in terms of flowers and display style. There tend to be lots of different flowers involved in a funeral, cremation or burial. If you’re family and are making the arrangements, you may opt to have flowers on and around the casket, as well as displays situated around the church, funeral home or other service area.
Wreaths and bouquets are also often used to adorn the coffin itself, both during the service and during burial. If you’re sending flowers in sympathy to someone you know who has lost someone, a plant, gift basket or other floral display is the perfect way to let them know they’re in your thoughts. In terms of flower choice it’s really up to you, if you know the deceased person liked a particular type of flower or arrangement, it can be a nice statement to choose that. Alternatively, sympathy flowers can be chosen with the bereaved in mind, particularly if you’re sending them to the person’s home.
At a sad time flowers may understandably be the last thing on your mind, but you will be presented with an excellent choice in terms of sensitive arrangements of flowers, designed to express love and compassion at a time when someone really needs it, and to let people know you’re thinking of them.
