Roses

It is literally impossible to go wrong with roses, whether you’re sending a gift to someone you love, respect or care for in any way. The natural choice for moments of romance, roses are also appropriate on many other occasions, such as congratulating or celebrating the events in people’s lives.

Roses come in many varied colours, so you can either focus an entire bunch on one colour, or indeed related colours, or can mix it up and create an eye-catching, vivid display. For expressing your feelings of love for someone special in your life, the classic red rose selection is of course a tempting one. For a lighter touch, pink roses make a pleasing addition to any room. From peach and orange tones through to whites and oranges, there’s really no end to the spectrum of emotion you can conjure up using roses.

It’s not all about colour either, for the scent of roses is simply irresistible, and lifts the spirits in any environment. Of course you can combine roses with other blossoms as well, creating a more varied selection of tone and texture, and indeed scale, for when combined with larger blooms such as lilies or tulips, roses contribute to a striking whole.

Roses are of course available in different varieties, with tea roses a particular favourite for many. With their generously proportioned rounded shape these blossoms are a welcome addition to any bouquet. Miniature roses are another well loved variety, perfect for centrepieces on displays for any occasion.
